The Wise Move

Map The Self Your Relationships Are Built On

Every connection you make, every argument you have, every conflict you walk away from, your Selfhood is underneath all of it.

You can read every book, do the therapy, listen to all the podcasts, and yet you won't use a single communication skill you've learned if you don't have the durability to stay present when tension rises.

And durability is just one of the eight qualities of Selfhood.

When you map your Selfhood, you meet the parts of you that have been refusing to use the skills you already have. The Wise Move shows you where you're strong and where you're under-resourced, so you can stay steady in the relationships that matter most.

The Wise Move is a 2-hour immersive audio experience, with a dedicated workbook that you can begin right now.

The Wise Move

Selfhood is the inner architecture that every one of your relationships is built on.

The Wise Move is a guided audit of the eight qualities of selfhood your relationships are actually built on. You will be guided by Louize through dedicated audios for each quality in your own personal workbook. By the end, you have a map. Your map. A clear picture of where you are strong, where you are under-resourced, and what is ready to be built.

The Recognition

Here is something I have watched for years, in my work and in my own life.

People often know a great deal about themselves. You can name your patterns. You understand attachment. You can tell me, in detail, exactly why you keep ending up in the same dynamic, why a certain relationship throws you off, why you go silent, or over-accommodate, or over-explain, or over-give, or disappear from yourself in the rooms where you most want to be present. You are not short on insight.

But insight, on its own, doesn't necessarily change how you live.

And in my experience, that is where so many people get stuck. And then they turn on themselves. They decide the problem must be that they haven't read enough, or understood enough, or healed enough, or found the right language yet.

But often that is not the problem at all.

What Actually Gets In The Way

The problem is usually one of two things, and most often both.

The first is that you don't yet have a clear picture of the selfhood your relationships are actually built on. So you are not sure where to point your attention. You are working hard, but you are working in the dark, on whatever happens to be hurting that week.

The second is bigger. What it takes to build and hold a strong relationship is not necessarily more knowledge. It is not more reflection or more careful monitoring of yourself and everyone around you. It is capacity. The capacity to say the hard thing that needs saying. The capacity to say the vulnerable thing that lets someone actually reach you. The capacity to take action on your own behalf, or the relationship's behalf, even when it is fecking hard and the small terrified part of you would rather do anything else.

That is what it takes. Inner capacity. And selfhood is the total manifestation of those capacities.

This is the gap. The one between knowing exactly what needs to happen and feeling unable to do it in the moment. It has nothing to do with how intelligent you are and it is not a character flaw. It is that your old self still feels safer than the new choice, even when the answer is plain.

About Me

Louize Carroll

I am a chartered psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland, a relationships coach fully qualifying in Relational Life Therapy with Terry Real, and the creator of Wisely Attached.

I have spent two decades working in mental health and relationships, across not-for-profit, corporate and creative settings. I have sat with hundreds of people, individuals, groups and couples. I have also sat with my own unhealthy relational patterns, my own wounds, my own moments of getting it spectacularly wrong. Both of those perspectives taught me something, and in my work they carry appropriate weight.

I am also the bass player in The Blizzards. The range in that, the wish to live a wide, full, many-sided life, is a real part of selfhood too. It is part of the spectrum of how we humans can choose to live, and I have always wanted to live mine fully.

A Note From Me

You will be spending a fair bit of time with my voice inside The Wise Move, so it felt right to let you hear me first. Here is a short note from me about the programme, why I built it, and who it is really for.

What's inside

Eight Selfhood Qualities. Two hours. A Selfhood workbook audit to keep.

Selfhood gets built the way muscle does. But you can't build what you can't see. The Wise Move is the seeing. I will walk you, quality by quality, through the audit, and you leave with a Map that you make and return to as long as you want, for the life of the programme.

The audio describes what each Selfhood Quality is, gives you a felt sense of what it looks like present and load-bearing, and asks you to mark yourself honestly as you go.

Part One

The Audios & Workbook

You fill these pages in as you listen to the corresponding audios. This is where self-knowledge becomes applied to your actual daily life in a way you can actually work with. Three pages for each of the eight Selfhood Qualities.

The Map · Part Two

Your Selfhood Wheel

A circular map with eight wedges, one per Selfhood Quality, that you shade in right into the workbook. The shape that emerges is yours. It's likely the first picture of your Selfhood you've ever drawn.

The Map · Part Three

The Action Pages

You navigate to the Selfhood Qualities you found most under-resourced and begin tonight. A starting move for each, and a path of practices that wait for the weeks after. Yours for life.

And it comes with

Please read this before you purchase The Wise Move.

The Selfhood-building work in this audit is designed for relationships and contexts that are difficult but fundamentally safe. Where holding your ground may cost you a hard conversation, or someone's temporary disapproval, but does not put you at risk of being harmed.

If you are currently in a relationship where someone is controlling, threatening, intimidating, or physically or sexually harmful to you, this work needs to be approached with great care, and not alone.

Research on intimate partner violence shows that attempting to assert Selfhood, change a dynamic, or leave an abusive relationship is associated with the highest risk of escalation, including serious harm. Intimate partner abuse affects people of any gender, and the same risk dynamics apply to men experiencing abuse from a partner. The act of building Selfhood, in those contexts, can become dangerous before it becomes liberating.

If any of the following are true for you, please pause this audit and speak to a specialist before continuing.

  • Someone close to you monitors your movements, your communications, or your money.
  • You feel afraid of expressing disagreement, leaving, or being yourself in front of them.
  • You have experienced physical, sexual, or threatening behaviour from them.
  • You feel afraid of what would happen if they found out you were doing this audit.

  • Elsewhere. Search for your country's national domestic abuse specialist service.

These services can support you with safety planning before any change in how you relate to the person becomes visible to them.

The Selfhood work in this audit will be here when it is safe for you to come back to it.

Questions

The things people ask

Is this therapy?+

No. The Wise Move is a coaching and mentorship product drawing on psychological frameworks. It's educational and reflective in nature. If you're currently working with a therapist, the Map sits well alongside that work, and many people bring this kind of programme work into their sessions.

How much time does it take?+

The audio runs two hours. Most people set aside a calm half-day for the first pass, or split it across two sittings, to give themselves room to write without rushing. The action pages are then designed for the weeks and months that follow, at whatever pace suits you.

I'm really busy. Can I still do this?+

Yes. You do it in your own home, on your own time, and you can split the two hours across more than one sitting. There are no live modules to keep up with and no weekly deadlines. The Masterclass is a recording in your library too, so you watch it whenever it suits you.

Do I need to be experienced at this kind of work?+

You need a baseline of self-reflection, but you don't need to be an expert. The eight Selfhood Qualities are universal and they differ in strength across everyone for so many reasons. The Map is yours, whatever shape it takes.

How long do I keep access?+

The audio and the Map are yours to keep, with access for as long as the programme exists. Download the workbook and it's yours for life.

How is it delivered?+

Everything is digital and immediate. After you join, you get access to the welcome video, the two-hour guided audio, the fillable Map and the Masterclass recording straight away, all waiting in your library.

Can I get a refund?+

The Wise Move is a low-cost digital product and all sales are final once the Map and audio have been delivered.

Is This For Me?

  • You've done some inner work and know the basic language of attachment and self-awareness.
  • You have a felt sense that something is not in alignment with your intentions in how you show up in some of your relationships.
  • You want specific information about yourself, not general advice.
  • You're in relationships that are fundamentally safe but contain real difficulty: a partnership that meets challenging patterns, a parent who drains, a workplace that drains you.
  • You want to take action this week, not just gain insight.

This isn't for you if

  • You're brand new to self-reflection and looking for an introduction to the idea. The audit assumes a baseline.
